Our Team
Steve Elkins is a USA Archery Level 4 NTS Coach and competitive archer, and the head of FFX Archery. He holds a Master's degree in Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor's Degree in Workforce Education & Development from Southern Illinois University.
Steve has been coaching Olympic Recurve, Compound, Barebow, and Traditional archery in Northern Virginia since 2017.
He coaches archers of all ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced. He is also the coach for the George Mason University archery club.
Coach Steve has has served as Tournament Director for the Virginia State Indoor and Outdoor Championships, and is currently serving as the USA Archery Virginia State Coordinator.
Ahnika Emery is a USA Archery Level 4 NTS Coach and a competitive archer. She also has a Masters of Education Degree from the University of Virginia.
Ahnika has been training and coaching at Bull Run Park since 2010, where she is well known for her ability to provide archers a solid archery foundation.
She has participated in many local Virginia and national indoor and outdoor competitions. She most recently won the gold medal at the 2021 and 2022 Virginia State Outdoor Championships and the silver medal at the 2024 Virginia State Outdoor Championship.

Brandon Lee is a USA Archery Level 3 NTS Coach and competitive archer. He started shooting in 2018 with the James Madison University Archery Team, and has been coaching since early 2020. Coach Brandon has participated in multiple indoor and outdoor competitions, most recently winning the silver medal at the 2023 Virginia State Outdoor Championship.
Jordyn Roark is a USA Archery Level 3 NTS Coach, competitive archer, and passionate mentor. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and has been instructing and training in archery since 2015.
For the past two years, she has been a proud member of FFX Archery’s staff and competitive team.
Coach Jordyn started out shooting compound and has since developed expertise in both compound and Olympic recurve. As a coach, she loves helping athletes grow their skills, build confidence, and find joy in the sport. She believes archery isn’t just about hitting the target—it’s about developing mental focus, confidence, and discipline that carry into everyday life.
More than anything, she wants her athletes to leave each lesson feeling supported, proud of their progress, and motivated to keep growing both in archery and in life.
Tiya Maroboina is a USA Archery Level 3 NTS Coach and a competitive archer. She has been shooting since 2017 and is currently part of George Mason University's Club Archery team, serving as an executive board member since 2023.
Coach Tiya has been coaching at the Bull Run Shooting Center since 2022.
